PLATTEVILLE, Wisconsin, Sept. 4 -- The University of Wisconsin-Platteville issued the following news:

Over recent decades, an increase in extreme hydrological events due to changing climate has exposed Platteville and the Driftless Area of Southwest Wisconsin to extreme droughts and rainy periods.
