WASHINGTON, Aug. 23 -- The American Heart Association issued the following statement by President Ivor Benjamin on the Senate passage of the 2019 Labor, Health and Human Services and Education funding bill:
"The Senate's approval of the Labor-HHS spending bill is a tremendous triumph for the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and for every patient who will benefit from its research.
