WASHINGTON, Aug. 23 -- The office of Sen. Roger Wicker, R-Mississippi, issued the following statement after voting for the appropriations bill (H.R. 6157) to fund defense, healthcare, labor and education programs:
The Senate has now passed 9 of the 12 annual funding bills, representing nearly 90 percent of discretionary spending.
"One of the two appropriations bills passed today will continue to rebuild our military, including the building of more ships.
