ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico, Aug. 23 -- Rep. Michelle Lujan Grisham, D-New Mexico, issued the following statement in response to reports that Education Secretary Betsy DeVos is considering diverting resources from federal education grants to allow states to purchase guns for teachers and announced that she intends to introduce legislation to prohibit this proposed plan:
