Based on data released today by the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE), students in Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) continue to demonstrate achievement at the proficient or advanced level on Virginia Standards of Learning (SOL) assessments. Eighty-one percent of students met or exceeded the standards for proficiency in reading, 85 percent in writing, 84 percent in science, 8 . . .
