FDA Issues Statement on Appropriate Prescribing of Opioid Analgesics

WASHINGTON, Aug. 22 -- The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Food and Drug Administration issued the following statement by Commissioner Scott Gottlieb on the steps to advance the development of evidence-based, indication-specific guidelines to help guide appropriate prescribing of opioid analgesics:
