NEW YORK, Aug. 21 -- The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene issued the following news release:

As part of HealingNYC, the Health Department announced today that six emergency departments now offer buprenorphine so patients can start to treat their opioid addiction before they leave the hospital.
