WINDOW ROCK, Arizona, Aug. 1 -- The Navajo Nation Council, a federally-recognized Native American tribe, issued the following news release:
The Health, Education, and Human Services Committee considered Legislation No. 0256-18 on Monday, which seeks to amend Navajo Nation Code Title I Enrollment Procedures to no longer utilize blood quantum as a requirement to be enrolled as a new member of the Navajo Nation.
