WASHINGTON, June 7 -- Rep. Tim Ryan, D-Ohio, issued the following statement after voting against the rescissions package:
"Under Republican control, the United States is falling further and further behind in competitiveness and global influence. Instead of recognizing that and doubling down on making critical investments in workforce development, infrastructure, and education, the Republican party is pushing ahead with a reckless rescissions bill that hobbles just those things. . . .
