WASHINGTON, June 7 -- The office of Sen. Lamar Alexander, R-Tennessee, issued the following news release:
United States Senator Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.) today said it was "troubling" that Senate Democrats would delay for five months the confirmation of Kenneth Marcus to serve as Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights at the Department of Education.
