AUSTIN, Texas, June 6 -- The Texas Education Agency issued the following document from Director of State Funding Al McKenzie:
Your school district or charter school may modify its instructional calendar for up to 4,200 minutes to provide a flexible year program to meet the educational needs of its students, including providing intensive instructional services. A flexible year program is for students who did not, or are likely not to, perform successfully on an assessment instrument . . .
