CLAREMONT, California, May 30 -- Pomona College issued the following news:
Avis E. Hinkson, dean of Barnard College in New York, has been selected as Pomona College's new vice president for student affairs and dean of students. She will join the College Aug. 1.
Hinkson brings more than three decades of higher education experience in areas ranging from residential life to student recruitment to undergraduate advising.
