Smoking Continues To Break Hearts on World No Tobacco Day

SUBIACO, Australia, May 30 -- Heart Foundation issued the following news release:

In Australia, two out of three smokers will lose ten years of life and die from their smoking. And, despite smokers being four times more likely to die from heart disease than non-smokers, public awareness about the damaging effects of smoking on the heart remains low, says Heart Foundation tobacco control spokesperson Maurice Swanson.
