WASHINGTON, May 18 -- The American Federation for Children issued the following statement by Board Member Ann Duplessis in recognition of the 64th anniversary of the Supreme Court decision in Brown v. Board of Education:

"While we celebrate what this decision meant for our country and our communities, we must also acknowledge the limits of the Supreme Court in transforming a system that, to this day, routinely delivers a lower quality of education to children of color.
