BISMARCK, North Dakota, May 17 -- Gov. Doug Burgum, R-North Dakota, issued the following news:
Gov. Doug Burgum today appointed North Dakota Highway Patrol Maj. Brandon Solberg to oversee the agency, citing his proven leadership experience and history of both field and administrative roles during his more than 22 years in law enforcement.
Solberg will succeed Col. Michael Gerhart, who is retiring from the agency on June 30 after four years as Highway Patrol superintende . . .
