TALLAHASSEE, Florida, May 9 -- The Florida Department of Education issued the following news:
Today, Commissioner of Education Pam Stewart congratulated 126 Florida high school students who earned $2,500 National Merit scholarships. The National Merit Scholarship Corporation awards these scholarships annually to students who demonstrate strong combinations of accomplishments, skills and potential to succeed in college.
