KINGSTON, Rhode Island, May 11 -- The University of Rhode Island issued the following news release:
The Volvo Ocean Race has come to port in Newport, R.I. for its only North American stop. While in the city, visitors and competitors will have plenty to do in Race Village, ranging from learning how to recycle a boat to exploring ocean science thanks to the University of Rhode Island.
