Bishop Murry Steps Down From Chair of Committee on Catholic Education

WASHINGTON, May 8 -- The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops issued the following news release:
Cardinal Daniel N. DiNardo of Galveston-Houston, President of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, has appointed Bishop John M. Quinn to serve as Chair of the USCCB's Committee on Catholic Education. The appointment was made following the resignation of Bishop George Murry, S.J., of Youngstown, previous chair of the committee, after his diagnosis with a form of acute Leukemia.
