STILWELL, Oklahoma, May 8 -- The Cherokee Nation, a federally-recognized Native American tribe, issued the following news release:
The Cherokee Nation donated $4,000 to Zion Public School to help furnish a new building with archery and other physical education equipment.
Cherokee Nation Tribal Council Secretary Frankie Hargis, Secretary of State Chuck Hoskin Jr. and School Community Specialist Brian Jackson presented the check during a recent tour of the school.
