ALEXANDRIA, Virginia, April 16 -- The U.S. Department of Defense's Education Activity issued the following news release:

The Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) proudly announces that Ms. Penelope Miller-Smith, the Kaiserslautern Elementary School principal in Germany, as the 2018 DoDEA Elementary Principal of the Year and Dr. Thomas Whittle, Antilles High School principal in Puerto Rico, as the 2018 DoDEA Secondary Principal of the Year.
