LONDON, England, April 16 -- The British Department for Education issued the following news release:
Primary school places confirmed for thousands of pupils as education standards continue to rise.
* 90 percent per cent of pupils offered their first choice of primary school and 97.2 percent were offered a place at one of their top three last year
* Disadvantage gap index at Key Stage 2 down 10.5 percent since 2011
