WASHINGTON, March 28 -- Rep. Eliot L. Engel, D-New York, issued the following statement on the death of Linda Brown:
"Linda Brown will forever be regarded as one of the most courageous figures in American history. Brown vs. the Board of Education was a landmark case that broke down some of the most egregious racial barriers in our country's history.
