National School Boards Association Issues Statement on Recognizing Linda Brown for Her Courage

ALEXANDRIA, Virginia, March 27 -- The National School Boards Association issued the following statement by Executive Director & CEO Thomas J. Gentzel:
"The passing of Linda Brown is a sad day for supporters of public education. Brown is the central person in the historic case of Brown v. Board of Education, which profoundly impacted public education by ending segregation in public schools.
