Rep. Cummings Issues Statement on Plan to Add Citizenship Question in 2020 Census

WASHINGTON, March 27 -- Rep. Elijah Cummings, D-Maryland, ranking Democratic member of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, issued the following statement in response to reports that the Census Bureau is planning to add a question about citizenship in the 2020 Census:
"People across the country--including in red, blue, and purple states--need to understand that if their communities are undercounted, they could lose critical funds for highways, education, healthc . . .
