NORMAN, Oklahoma, March 26 -- Rep. Tom Cole, R-Oklahoma, issued the following statement after the University of Oklahoma's announcement naming James Gallogly as the incoming president of the university:

Gallogly is poised to succeed long-serving President David Boren. Gallogly is the former CEO of LyondellBasell and is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma College of Law (1977).
