BRUSSELS, Belgium, March 26 -- The European Commission issued the following news release:
The European Commission has announced today Euros49.5 million in emergency assistance to help address the worsening humanitarian crisis unfolding in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). A further Euros10.9 million will go to neighbouring countries, namely Tanzania, Rwanda and the Republic of Congo mainly to support Congolese refugees.
