LANSING, Michigan, March 9 -- The Michigan Department of Education issued the following news release:

The Michigan Department of Education (MDE) is seeking information regarding assessment tools that may be used by local school districts with students up to 3rd grade to address requirements identified in the state's so-called the "3rd Grade Reading" law (MCL 380.1280f).
