Nonfarm Jobs Grow by 3,400 in January; Unemployment Rate Unchanged at 4.5%

WETHERSFIELD, Connecticut, March 9 -- The Connecticut Department of Labor issued the following news release:

Preliminary Connecticut nonfarm job estimates from the business payroll survey administered by the US Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) show the state gained 3,400 net jobs (0.2 percent) in January 2018, to a level of 1,689,000, seasonally adjusted. Over the year, nonagricultural employment in the state grew by 5,500 jobs (0.5 percent). December's 2017 originally-released . . .
