WASHINGTON, March 10 -- Rep. Mark Pocan, D-Wisconsin, issued the following speech, which was published in the Congressional Record on March 8, on public education:
Mr. Speaker, public education is the foundation of our 21st Century democracy. Our public schools are where our students come to be educated in the fullest sense of the word as citizens of this great country.
