Rep. Polis Issues Statement on State Law on Student Loans

WASHINGTON, March 9 -- Rep. Jared Polis, D-Colorado, ranking Democratic member of the House Education and the Workforce subcommittee on early childhood, elementary and secondary education, issued the following statement after the Department of Education usurped states by saying that federal student loan servicers do not have to comply with state law to protect them from student loan lenders:
