WASHINGTON, March 9 -- Rep. Mark Takano, D-California, ranking Democratic member of the House Education and the Workforce subcommittee on workforce protections, issued the following statement in response to the Department of Education's notice of interpretation that exempts federal student loan servicers from state regulation:
