WAYNE, Nebraska, March 7 -- Wayne State College issued the following news release:
Wayne State College graduates have earned a number of remarkable teaching awards. Three educators from South Sioux City have added these honors: Jon Pickinpaugh earned the Milken Educator Award; D.J. Smith received the Golden Apple Teaching Award; and Michelle Helt was named the Nebraska 2018 Teacher of the Year.
