Sen. Manchin Issues Statement on Deal to End West Virginia Teacher Strike

WASHINGTON, March 6 -- The office of Sen. Joe Manchin, D-West Virginia, issued the following statement after the announcement that the West Virginia Legislature has come together in agreement on a teacher and public employee salary increase proposal, which was introduced by Gov. Jim Justice and embraced by educators, school service personnel and a bipartisan group of legislators that allow students and teachers to go back to the classroom:
