Dr. Thomas F. Freeman was the inaugural recipient of Mayor Sylvester Turner's History Makers Awards-Living Legend. Freeman was feted on February 9 at the Houstonian Hotel at a luncheon hosted by Comcast. Dr. Bobbie Henderson, longtime College of Education professor and founder of TSU's Center on the Family, was honored for her years of volunteer work with the United Way of Greater Houst . . .
