STATESBORO, Georgia, March 1 -- Georgia Southern University issued the following news release:

Georgia Southern University's College of Education (COE) faculty members are making a difference for at-risk high school students by participating in the Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Program (GEAR UP) Georgia. The statewide project provides supportive services to help students complete their high school diplomas and prepare them for post-secondary education. . . .
