DAYTONA BEACH, Florida, Feb. 20 -- Bethune-Cookman University issued the following news release:
By a vote of 111-1 on Tuesday afternoon, February 20, 2018, the Florida House approved HB 139 to place a statue of Mary McLeod Bethune in U.S. Capitol's Statuary Hall. "More than 14,000 graduates and countless others have benefited from the measure and manifestation of 'the answered prayer of a dream' of Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune, to provide an education for African Ame . . .
