NEW YORK, Jan. 25 -- New York Mayor Bill de Blasio issued the following news release:

To celebrate national mentoring month, Chief Service Officer Paula Gavin and Schools Chancellor Carmen Farina announced that 25,000 high school students and 10,000 mentors participated in programs associated with the NYC Youth Mentoring Initiative.
