House Speaker on Low Wages: 'It Doesn't Feel Like That to Me'

BOISE, Idaho, Jan. 24 -- The Idaho Democratic Party issued the following news item in a blog entry:
A week ago, House Speaker Scott Bedke heard that Idaho wages are now 50th in the nation. Bedke responded to that very real tragedy for Idaho families in front of reporters gathered at the AP legislative preview:
"It doesn't feel to me like, as an Idaho citizen, that that is the case," said Bedke, who ranches on 130,000 acres of federal land in Idaho and Nevada. . . .
