WASHINGTON, Jan. 24 -- The Center for American Progress issued the following news release:

Today, 12 U.S. senators sent a letter to U.S. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos and the chief operating officer of the Office of Federal Student Aid (FSA), A. Wayne Johnson, demanding that they justify the use of private debt collection agencies (PCAs) in the federal student loan system.
