WASHINGTON, Jan. 25 -- Del. Madeleine Z. Bordallo, D-Guam, issued the following statement regarding the shutdown of the federal government.
The current continuing resolution authorizing funding for the federal government expired at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on Friday, January 18, 2018. Without a law authorizing federal funding, all non-essential functions of the federal government are legally required to cease operations.
