RALEIGH, North Carolina, Jan. 23 -- The North Carolina Department of Commerce issued the following news release:
The state's seasonally adjusted December unemployment rate was 4.5 percent, increasing 0.2 of a percentage point from November's revised rate. The national rate remained unchanged at 4.1 percent.
