LANSING, Michigan, Jan. 21 -- Gov. Rick Snyder, R-Michigan, issued the following proclamation:
WHEREAS, every student in Michigan should have access to an effective education; and,
WHEREAS, improving the quality of education in Michigan continues to be an issue of importance to our state's leaders; and,
WHEREAS, Michigan recognizes the critical role that an effective and accountable system of education plays in preparing all children to be successful adults . . .
