Chicago Teachers Union Issues Statement on School Funding Legislation Veto

CHICAGO, Illinois, Jan. 9 -- Chicago Teachers Union issued the following statement by Vice President Jesse Sharkey following Illinois Gov. Bruce Rauner's veto of school funding legislation to allow more schools to take advantage of taxpayers and their money for a school voucher scheme:
"Bruce Rauner has a weird notion of fairness. First, he vetoed the state's budget for the 2018 fiscal year, which included additional funding for public schools, and also vetoed revenue . . .
