WASHINGTON, Dec. 14 -- The Insured Retirement Institute issued the following statement by Lee Covington, Senior Vice President and General Counsel, in response to the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee's vote to advance Preston Rutledge's nomination to serve as the Assistant Secretary of Labor for the Employee Benefits Security Administration:
