ANNAPOLIS, Maryland, Nov. 21 -- The Maryland Public Service Commission issued the following news release:
The Maryland Public Service Commission will hold three public hearings on a request by the Delmarva Power and Light Company to increase its electric distribution rates by $21.6 million (an increase of $2.60--or 1.8 percent-- a month for the typical residential customer). Delmarva provides electricity to 204,000 customers in 10 counties in Maryland, primarily on the Eastern Shore . . .
