NORTH PORT, Fla., Nov. 3 -- The city of North Port issued the following news release:

Congratulations to Solid Waste for bringing home another award! The National Waste & Recycling Association recently presented them with the, "The Best Recycling Public Education Program Award". Accepting the award for North Port was Frank Lama, our Solid Waste Manager, and Michael Fear, Community Outreach Coordinator for Public Works.
