NEW YORK, Nov. 1 -- The Asia Society issued the following news release:
At its fall meeting today in New York, the Asia Society board of trustees named new co-chairs, elected seven new trustees, and announced the public launch of an ambitious, $135 million capital campaign.
Ambassador Chan Heng Chee, Singapore's longest-serving ambassador to the U.S., and John L. Thornton, chair of Brookings Institution and a former president of Goldman Sachs, were named co-chairs . . .
