State Superintendent Appoints Martin as State School Reform Officer

LANSING, Mich., Oct. 31 -- Brian Whiston, superintendent of the Michigan Department of Education, issued the following news release:

State Superintendent Brian Whiston announced today the appointment of Dedrick Martin, Ed.D. to be the State School Reform Officer. In addition to his position as the State School Reform Officer, he also will be the director of the Office of Partnership Districts at the Michigan Department of Education (MDE).
