UTHealth Receives $2.5 Million for HIV Education and Treatment for Persons With Substance Use Disorders

HOUSTON, Oct. 31 -- The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston issued the following news release:

A $2.5 million federal grant will allow a multidisciplinary team at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) to provide prevention and treatment information about HIV, AIDS and sexually transmitted diseases to underserved individuals with substance abuse or mental disorders.
