JUNEAU, Alaska, Oct. 30 -- Gov. Bill Walker, R-Alaska, issued the following proclamation:
WHEREAS, Alaska is a land full of extensive outdoor recreational opportunities, where residents and visitors alike are able to enjoy activities in a uniquely vast and often extreme terrain; and
WHEREAS, winter is an excellent time for Alaskans of all ages to participate in healthy outdoor activities including climbing, hiking, skiing, snowboarding, snowmachining, mushing, snowshoei . . .
